The Forest Cabin at Kolmårdsgården

About the project

Kolmårdsgården AB, located in the picturesque Kolmården near Kvarsebo, has been operating a Bed & Breakfast since 2013. Since 2022, the farm has been run by Agrita and Magnus Hakeman, who now want to meet the increased demand for secluded accommodation year-round. Within the project, the company will renovate and expand the existing cabin into Skogsstugan – a fully equipped accommodation with self-catering for up to six people. The cabin will offer high standards, a nature-close location, options for add-ons such as breakfast, and planned access to a private sauna and hot tub. The accommodation will be family- and pet-friendly, suitable for both Swedish and international guests.

Skogsstugan fills a gap in the region, where similar accommodation options are lacking. The project is expected to generate at least 50 new guest nights in the first year, with the potential to double, as well as create a basis for future seasonal employment and contribute to local development.

Project goals

The project's goal is for Skogsstugan for individual accommodation to be completed and to be an attractive accommodation for guests and tourists in Kolmården.
