Development of
Solstadström People's Park

About the project

The people's park in Solstadström has historically been an important meeting place for the community and is a valuable part of the area's cultural history. Now the association wants to create conditions for the place to once again be filled with activities and develop together with the people who live and work in the community.

By renovating and developing the park's environments within the project, they will create better conditions for events, association activities, and spontaneous meetings for a larger part of the year. A new floating dock will enable boat trips with Aron from Mörtfors as well as facilities for kayaking and canoeing.

The project connects Solstadström with the nearby towns of Blankaholm and Mörtfors and builds on the historical and geographical community that exists between the places. The association will also carry out information and marketing efforts to make the area visible and attract more visitors and potential newcomers.

The goal is for the people's park to be filled with activities and become a vibrant meeting place where people can meet and engage. The project will also contribute to strengthening the area's attractiveness and making the community visible to more.
