Ehrenengs Garden
About the project
Ehreneng's Garden in Kolmården is run by Erika Ehreneng and offers homegrown and refined plants and vegetables through a farm shop. The business has developed positively and the demand for both the products and visits to the farm has increased. To take the next step, better and more suitable premises are needed.
Through the project, a 25 square meter large, heated and accessibility-adapted building is being constructed in connection with the operation. The premises will be equipped with electricity for, among other things, heating, lighting, and cooling and will function both as a store, storage, and meeting place. In connection with the building, parking spaces and landscaping will also be created to improve accessibility for visitors.
The new premises will enable Ehreneng's Garden to extend the season and develop the business towards a more year-round-based concept. The larger area provides better opportunities to store and refine own products as well as to broaden the range. Among other things, own honey production is planned through new bee colonies and eventually also the sale of other locally produced goods.
The building will also be able to be used for courses, events, and other activities. This creates new opportunities for collaborations with other local businesses and makes the yard a more attractive meeting place for both locals and visitors.
Project's purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to develop and broaden the business as well as create better conditions for a long-term economically sustainable operation.
The goal is a new, approximately 25 m² large and accessibility-adapted building with associated parking. The premises will be equipped with electricity for heating, lighting, and cooling of products and can be used both as a store and as a meeting place for, for example, courses and events.
Through the new premises, conditions are created for year-round operations, a broader range, and increased sales. It will also enable more collaborations with local businesses and contribute to increased local production and self-sufficiency.
