Discgolf forest course
The Hälsobolaget Association will establish a 9-hole discgolf course in a forest area at Grännäs IP.
About the project
The Hälsobolaget Association in Valdemarsvik has previously established a 9-hole discgolf course at Grännäs IP on its own. The discgolf course has been very appreciated and more and more people have become aware of the sport, which is now on a strong rise. The association now wants to develop the course with an additional 9 holes to create an 18-hole course. The 9 holes will be established in a forest area adjacent to the recreational area and will complement the previously established park course. With an 18-hole course, it is possible for the association to organize competitions but also create a course that suits both beginners and active players.
Project goals
The overall goal of the project is a new 9-hole course in a forest area adjacent to the recreational area, which complements the previously established park course into an 18-hole course. The project aims to promote recreational activities, create conditions for more visitors, and increase access to services in the area.
The project has been prioritized by the Kustlandet board but is awaiting the formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. Applicants may begin the project, but they do so at their own risk before receiving the formal decision.
