Sarah Isaksson & Andreas Lundkvist

Sarah and Andreas are rural ambassadors in the relocation project and the initiative ”Home to Misterhult”. They represent the Misterhult area in Oskarshamn Municipality.

Sarah and Andreas, Gässhult

Sarah and Andreas live in Gässhult in the Misterhult countryside and together run the company Your Adventures Sweden. Sarah also has the company Hippofysen, where she offers physiotherapy for horses. Your Adventures Sweden has evolved from the hobby business Stenbrottets Flugfiske, and will initially arrange fishing trips, but there are also plans to start guided horseback riding. The couple also has many exciting ideas for future ventures and how they can continue to develop their business. Already, Andreas has started a project to create an artificial stream, something he says is completely unique in Sweden and will be beneficial for fish and other animals in the area.

”The best thing about living in Misterhult is that there is such a good community and that it is incredibly beautiful. Here you have the perfect mix of forest, lake, and archipelago.”

The couple has both moved to the area. Sarah originally comes from Kiruna, but moved to Figeholm in 2004 to try something new. The reason it was Figeholm was that her brother already lived there and that she got a job at ABB. In 2017, she met her love, Andreas, and in 2018 he left city life in Västerås to move in with Sarah in Gässhult.

Both love life in the countryside and cannot imagine a better place to live. The absolute best part is the peace and closeness to nature. Andreas thinks it is a dream to live right by his hobby (and job) and he does not long for the big city. ”When I first came here, I thought it was too quiet and I was probably a little scared when it cracked in the forest, now it is completely the opposite, I love being surrounded by the sounds of nature instead of noise and sirens.”

”The best thing about living in Misterhult is that there is such a good community and that it is incredibly beautiful. Here you have the perfect mix of forest, lake, and archipelago.”, they say with a smile.
