Aspöja Green

About the project

Aspöja Grönt grows and sells vegetables and delicacies on Aspöja. In a farm shop, one can among other things buy tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, squash, eggplant, garlic, and homemade pesto and pickles.

The business has grown in recent years and more staff need to be hired during spring and summer. There are also plans to expand the business with cultivation courses during the remaining part of the year when cultivation and sales do not take up all the time. To be able to hire more staff and accommodate course participants, housing is needed as it is not easy to get to the island by public transport if one does not have their own boat.

On the property, there is a barn with an old servant's residence. By renovating it within the project into a modern apartment of 40 sqm, it could be used for seasonal staff and course participants.
