Development of
Sandfjärdsbadet

About the project

Sandfjärdsbadet's bathing area in Ramsdal is operated by the economic association S:t Anna Archipelago whose members are property owners in the area. The bathing area is popular and visited by both residents in the area, the surrounding area, and from other parts of the municipality. The association also runs a subsidized swimming school here. In recent years, the number of bathers has increased, which has contributed to overcrowding and a public toilet has been requested. Now the association wants to make the bathing area more attractive for visitors of all ages and more accessible for the disabled. Within the project, they will build a service building with a handicap-accessible toilet and also improve pathways down to the bathing area to make it more accessible. They will create a play area for children, set up park benches, barbecue areas, a staging area for surfboards/kayaks, and install lighting. To create more space for visitors, an area will be cleared of reeds.

The purpose of the project is to foster a stronger community and a more attractive locality. Attract the younger generation to stay in the area and take care of it.
